About Animal Welfare

We love our horses and so do the dedicated people who look after them every day. The welfare of these amazing animals and athletes is paramount to us.

Go Racing only works with pre-trainers, trainers and industry participants who love horses as much as we do.

At the end of their careers, all of our horses remain in our care until a suitable home is found for them. Often this is a comfortable retirement with one of the syndicate owners. Some have been retrained as eventing and show horses, some go to the Riding for the Disabled, and some as hacks and pleasure horses. They enjoy their new lives and their new owners love them and stay in touch with photos and stories.

The lovely No Return has found his niche in retired life! He is working with a group of pony club riders to teach them how to prepare young horses for a career in show jumping.

Coogee Flyer last raced in 2013 and now has a very happy home with Brittany where he is a jumps horse. Brittany reports he’s a bit of a dude with a cheeky personality who just loves his food. Thanks Brittany!
